One of my resolutions waste get Healthy for January, After a particularly excessive christmas break – All I wanted was fruit, vegetables and some good old fashioned nourishment!
So my cleanse consisted of eating only ( or mainly) whole foods, no processed sugar or carbs, no meat, dairy or pure eggs ( I did have honey though!) and lots of tea, fruit, veg and whole grains!
Now, At the end of the month my cleanse has meant I’ve lost 6 pounds, but more importantly – I feel great for it!
Heres my daily routine;
Morning;
2 tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar in water
ThinTea Detox tea
1 bowl of Porridge made with 50% water, 50% no sugar almond milk OR Home made granola
Granola Recipe:
- Mix lots of oats ( however much you want to make, remembering you want to store it) with the following mixture to bind and cover lightly, the mixture should still be crumbly. 1 part honey, 2 parts water 1 part coconut oil
- Spread on a lined baking tray in the oven until it very slightly toasts on a medium heat, and mix until there is a new level of oats on the top ( time dependant on batch, but check every 5 mins as it can burn easily!) Once the top is lightly toasted…
- Chop up mixed nuts and fruit and add to the tray and cook for a further 5 minutes or until the mixture is golden brown.

Here are my before and afters from 1st jan- 31st jan and as you can see I think the lb’s have come straight off my tummy and love handles and given me a much flater, curvier shape! – Especially considering this wasnt a ‘diet’, I ate plentifully – but just of whole foods!
