My Glo & Ray first impressions…

glo & ray review haul

So, I’m new to Glo & Ray club – Having only just got my first taste of it from Beauty mart. But the range is so good and the packaging is absolute make up kit gold (think MAC but better)…. So I thought I’d share with you my mini Haul so you can get to know this brand too..

So lets just start by saying I love that Glo & Ray is called so because thier products show off the skins radiance….right up my street.

In each product the cardboard case also contains another cardboard case which secures the product in place inside…. I know it sounds silly but I really feel like the guys at Glo & Ray really care about their products and getting them to us in perfect condition, another tick on the G &R list.

Each thing has a name, not just a shade name – but a product name. So it might be a mousse eyeshadow but its called ‘Mirage’, It might be an eyeshadow quad but they are called ‘Mariposa’ etc….and I love it that its a bit different like that!

So looking at the products – lets begin with the face. The Fluid foundation is called ‘Nebulae’… and boy DOES IT live up to its name sake….Glowey and dewey this foundation is gorgeous with a nice peachy undertone and a velvety luminous finish. Its hydrating and also uses blue crystal technology for fresh looking skin. The bottles light and high quality and the pump is super easy to dispense.

Next is the powders….We all know how I feel about a non-cakey luminous powder so these are my cup of tea. This first one is Lumincent Light which is so fine its GREAT for the under eye bake and setting foundation for a light finish. Once buffed on its pretty colourless.

Next is the compact ‘Velvet’ powder – This is incredible silky creamy powder formula which is great for a polished finish. Its great for the make up bag too with the sponge underneath!

Now lets have a word about their ‘Nuage’ blusher… This is shade ‘Halo Pink 500’ and channels Nars Orgasm blush (Its THAT kind of cult colour) – and its absolutely GORGEOUS! ….This glowy, luminescent gold-flecked tonal blush gives you that pinched cheeks, cheeky glow that makes you look SO FRESH. This is my favourite product of the entire range ( and its only £11!)

Next up is the Glo & Ray Mariposa eyeshadow quartets, in ‘Misty Dark’ and ‘Twilight Nude’ – These colours are gorgeous and so tonal, so ideal for blending!…. This Twilight quartet is actually LIFE, the colour is  nudey, peachy, glowey perfection which you can also use an a highlighter!

Next are the Mirage Mousse eyeshadows, super long lasting and crease resistant, they contain Multi Silky-Wax Complex™ that provides a seamless silky texture creating a gorgeous misty effect when blended onto the eye. My favourite is the Caramel Candy which is ideal for an everyday easy eye look! I swatched these and then tried to rinse them off of water and my hand, they did NOT BUDGE one inch – until I used an eye make up remover!

I got a really great collection of gorgeous autumnal liners, which ive been wearing NON STOP. These are the Eternity (long lasting and smudge proof automatic liner) and Sky breaker ( super pigmented and blendable, sharpenable pencils) I love the ‘Eternity’ ones from underneath the eyes to tightline around the lashes, and I love the ‘Sky breakers’ for smudgey intense eyes.

Moving onto the lips, we NEED to discuss these ‘Wonderland’ lip glosses, in Pumpkin night & Rose Drip. These have these little bits in them that I can only describe as light particles. However looking it up on their site it says they’re called  ‘Micro Liquid Particles with a High Refractive Index’ – But cut a long story short they make your lips look SUPER JUICY, and feel amazing on the lips! They also say they have ‘Dewy Shine Oil’ to keep lips hydrated!

Finally there is the Le Amo Lipsticks – these are the shiney ones but they also have a matte range. These are SO pigmented and creamy and really hydrating on the lips. I also am a little bit, ok a lot in love with the packaging of these from the bright case to the engraved logo on the bullet, these look amaze.
